Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ["Spark Programs" Private Charitable Foundation] (“we”, “our”) handles personal information in connection with the Child Visibility Initiative (“CVI”). It applies to the CVI website and dashboard (the “Sites”), which are informational.

What Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:

  • From the website: the details you submit through the Collaborate/Contact forms (full name, organization, email, area of interest, message); your email if you subscribe to updates; and cookies/analytics data collected automatically (see “Cookie files”).

  • From events (workshops, roundtables, interviews): your registration details; the contributions and insights you share during sessions; your interview responses; and photographs, audio and video recordings made at the sessions.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and contact you about the Initiative;

  • send you updates you have subscribed to;

  • organise and document our events, and include participants’ insights and interview responses in our analysis, reports and other outputs;

  • record and share photographs and video of sessions on our websites, social media, presentations and with the press;

  • operate, secure and improve the Sites; and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Your Information

Where we publish results, photographs or insights, those published materials become publicly available and may be reproduced or re-used by others outside our control. We may share information with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email, analytics), with partners who help deliver the Initiative (including abroad, under appropriate safeguards), to publish results of the Initiative (website, social media, presentations, press), and where required by law. We may share aggregated/anonymised data freely.

Children Data

We do not knowingly collect personal data of children through the Sites; the index concerns children only as aggregated statistics. Any future content identifying a specific child or family will be processed only under separate informed consent and agreements.

We use essential, functionality and analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. You can manage non-essential cookies via the consent banner and your browser settings.

Your Rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may access, amend, delete, port, restrict or object to the processing of your data, withdraw consent, unsubscribe via the link in each email, and not be subject to solely automated decisions. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

For events, you may additionally ask us not to photograph or film you, ask that your insights or responses not be attributed to you by name, or request removal of your contribution. We will honour such requests, except for materials already published before we receive your request. Contact us at the address below.

How we store your information

We retain your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time; this will not affect materials already published before your request.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; we will update the “Last Updated” date above when we do.
