2026 programme priorities for the Child Visibility Initiative

Three priorities for the year ahead

The Child Visibility Initiative has published its 2026 programme priorities, focusing on refining Index dimensions, supporting country partners through adoption, and opening the framework to broader research communities. The plan builds on early partner feedback about data quality and inter-agency coordination.

Dimension work will concentrate on clearer guidance for missingness and delayed referrals, while country support expands practical tools for municipal and national reporting cycles. Research engagement includes conference presentations, methodology notes, and structured feedback channels for academic partners.

  • Refine Index dimensions and indicator packs

  • Deepen support for national and municipal partners

  • Widen research and policy community engagement

Progress against these priorities will be summarised in a mid-year update for partners and funders.
